Christmas Sprite and a Christmas Visit

I've got two new creations for you to see. First is the Christmas Sprite that is an ornament made using an epoxy clay. I hand sculpted him, applied several coats of acrylic paint then signed and sealed him. His hat was made with wool, flannel and a little jingle bell. I was fortunate to have Sprite picked to be among many wonderful creations that can be seen in the Holidays 2011 issue of Celebrate 365 that was just recently published. He is now available to purchase in my Etsy Shop.

And second is the Christmas Visit Shadow Box Art. The box is an old jewelry drawer that I repurposed. It has been heavily distressed for a look of days gone by. The scene is of a vintage wooden Santa bringing a gift to put on the tree while a little bear is playing with some blocks. Christmas Visit is also available now in my Etsy Shop.

I have completely neglected my blog for a couple of months now. Time flies when your having fun:) I've been spending some quality time with friends and family and taking advantage of a few lazy days. Yesterday I had a little Christmas inspiration and made these three. I just might call them The Candy Cane Gang! Oh, and please excuse the pics, I took them on my phone...

I still have to seal these and add a bit more detail which will have to wait until the rain goes away. We desperately need the rain, so I'm in no hurry. :) These cutie pies will be available in my shop soon. Happy creating~Leslie!!

I had so much fun making these collaged "jewels". These are pins. Wear them on your sweater, hats or even your purse. Each one is collaged with lots of different papers, distressed with inks, some have paint, some not, then a variety of different finishes/glazes was applied. Each one has a pin-back of course and is signed by me. No two are alike. Very fun!

Hi everyone! Sorry for my long departure...You might have heard I've been in cosmetology school this past 13 months, or 1600 hours to be precise, and so I had to put most of my By Way of Salem activities on hold.

Molly- Miniature felt doll pocket Princes.
Handmade, miniature, felt dolls. They are very cute and stylish each one is unique and you can see that lot of hard-work and love has been put into them. I call them pocket princes. This one is Molly she is about 5.5 inches tall.
Tiny Molly is totally sewed by hand with a heavy duty tread. Her hair is made of a very soft red wool that I needle felted to her head. All her features are also needle felted. Because every princes deserve a pocket princes.@

This is a set of 3 ACEOs (art card editions and originals). Designed, cut, and printed by Omayra Camarena Rosado from OCR Primitive Arts (myself). Each ACEO is an original painted by hand on white acid-free Watercolor paper, signed and title on the back with a certificated of authenticity. Size of each artwork is 3.5 in x 2.5 in - 8.9 cm x 6.35 cm). This is a mixed media; I use watercolor paint, acrylics, and archival ink to create this trio.

I made this little cutie from muslin; her features are painted with acrylics, color pencils and fabric markers and sealed for protection. Her outfits are hand and machine sewed and comes off for cleaning. Lulu is holding her little dolly that is made with pink felt and her face is hand embroidery.She is at my etsy:

... and a monkey, elephant, and retro birds! Partridge in a Round Tree! lol I love the vintage toy feel of these sweet baby animals. The monkey already sold! The chicken and rooster were a departure from what I usually do, but I wanted to do something fun with simple lines and a retro modern feel.
